Tom Boileau, PhD

I received a bachelor’s in Biology and Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Nutritional Sciences. My research has focused on a variety of topics including the impact of dietary factors on cancer, nutritional modulation of immune function and exploring novel health benefits of dietary fiber and probiotics.

The team at General Mills that I am a part of is focused on conducting clinical trials to increase our understanding of the health benefits of different foods. Our research team collaborates with many of the world’s leading nutrition, food science and medical experts. It’s also great to work for a company that touches the lives of so many people worldwide. I truly believe that my day to day work is enabling people around the world to enjoy happier and healthier lives.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids, running marathons (albeit slowly), playing golf and experimenting with ethnic cuisine.
