Reaching the Latino American/Hispanic population with nutrition and disease management messages requires more than a simple translation into Spanish. Understanding the cultural differences among the various Latino/Hispanic groups and how to best educate each group is critical in order to relay health and nutrition information that promotes positive lifestyle changes.
